AGILEHAND Our four projects shared more than just a booth during this event. Among hundreds of Smart Manufacturing specialists, they presented a common vision of Industry 5.0 — human-centric and innovation-driven. The AGILEHAND project showcased the solutions developed over the past three years for the agro-industrial sector, highlighting advancements in AI and robotics with a particular focus on workforce integration, training, and well-being. Our joint Made in Europe session provided the opportunity to further explore our activities and demonstrate how they contribute to building the next generation of flexible, resilient, and sustainable manufacturing systems across Europe and Asia. HARTU At EFFRA Manufacturing Partnership Days 2025, Linda Napoletano from Deep Blue presented the HARTU project, highlighting how innovation in manufacturing must go hand in hand with human well-being and empowerment. As HARTU enters its final phase, its message has never been more relevant: advanced robotics and AI are transforming factories, but people remain at the heart of this change. From redefining roles and skills to designing automation around people, not just for them, HARTU continues to demonstrate that the future of manufacturing lies in balancing technological excellence with human value.
MASTERLY
The MASTERLY project was proud to take part in the EFFRA Manufacturing Partnership Days 2025. The event brought together hundreds of innovators, researchers, and industry leaders shaping the future of European manufacturing under the Factories of the Future and Made in Europe initiatives. During the Projects Session, our coordinator LMS (Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems & Automation), represented by Apostolis Papavasileiou, presented MASTERLY’s vision, progress, and upcoming milestones highlighting how the project is advancing human-centred, flexible, and intelligent manufacturing solutions for Europe’s industry. The event offered an inspiring opportunity to connect with fellow Horizon Europe projects, research organisations, and manufacturing stakeholders - fostering new synergies, collaborations, and discussions on the path towards more sustainable and resilient production in Europe. SMARTHANDLE

The SMARTHANDLE project was delighted to join the EFFRA Manufacturing Partnership Days 2025, held in Brussels from 20–22 October. This high‑impact event gathered key players from Europe’s manufacturing innovation ecosystem under the Factories of the Future and Made in Europe initiatives. As part of the Project Sessions, Dionisis Andronas from the Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems & Automation (LMS) presented SMARTHANDLE’s approach to resilient manufacturing lines. His talk, titled “Resilient Manufacturing Lines Through Intelligent Handling Systems: The SMARTHANDLE Approach,” showcased how the project integrates AI, robotics, and intelligent planning tools to automate complex handling operations and improve flexibility, safety, and productivity on the shop floor. SMARTHANDLE also co-hosted a booth alongside its sister project AgileHand, where visitors engaged with project partners from TECNALIA, TFCC, INTRASOFT and LMS. The booth created valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, showcase pilot use cases, and explore collaborative opportunities for smarter, more human-centric manufacturing in Europe. |
